Frank E. Boston, Jr., 84, of Ravenna, passed away on Friday, November 7, 2025, at Vista Veranda surrounded by his loving family. He was born on March 4, 1941, in Akron, Ohio, to the late Frank E. Boston, Sr. and Lucille R. (Smith) Boston. He graduated from Ravenna High School and later earned his bachelor’s degree in business from Kent State University. Frank was a devoted member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, where he served as a deacon, Sunday school teacher, and on several committees, including the property committee. He retired from Norton Company in Ravenna after 22 years, where he was respected for his dedication and hard work. He married the love of his life, June (Needles) Boston, on August 29, 1964, and together they shared 61 wonderful years of marriage. They raised two children: Bryan (Diana) Boston of Ravenna and Vicki (Joe) Sott of Brimfield. Frank loved his family more than anything and cherished the time he spent with them. He also enjoyed golfing, bowling, and playing cards with his and June’s close-knit card group, who gathered weekly for laughter and friendship. Together, Frank and June took great pride in caring for their beautiful yard, where they spent many happy hours gardening, working outdoors, and hosting family fires that created countless cherished memories. He is survived by his sister, Patricia Lutzenkirchen (Paula Vanis) of Wauconda, Illinois; five grandchildren — Brent (Kelly) Boston, Brittney (Joe) Coates, Kyle (Katelyn) Sott, Morgan Sott, and Aubrey (Julian) Hersh — who will miss their Grandpa deeply; and six great-grandchildren — Clayton, Kacey, Lucy, Kalina, Sophia, and Madilyn — who will miss their Papa Frank greatly. He will be remembered for his kindness, sense of humor, and unwavering devotion to his family and faith. Friends and family will be received from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. Friday, November 14, 2025, at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel. Funeral services will be at 11 AM Saturday, November 15, 2025, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Ravenna with Pastor Dan Caruso Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Edinburg Cemetery in Ravenna.
