Frank N. DiMauro 89 of Ravenna, beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother passed away on Tuesday, October 14, 2014 surrounded by family. He was born November 21, 1924 in Akron, Ohio to the late Pasquale and Maria (DiLauro) DiMauro. He was a lifelong resident of Ravenna. Survivors include his dear wife of 67 years, Matilda "Tillie", sons Frank P. (Marilyn) of Stow and Paul M. (Peg) of Ravenna, his adored grandson Michael Paul, as well as brothers Danny (Rose) of FL and Patsy (Antoinette) of Cuyahoga Falls, sisters in law Carmel and Gerry of Kent and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Joseph, John, Robert and Tony. Frank was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Ravenna and retired from Frederick Plumbing and Heating with 40 years of service. He was a US Army veteran of WWII, a life member of the VFW Post 3703, longtime member of Local 219 Plumbers and Pipefitters Union, the Knights of Columbus, The Italian American Society and the Associates of St. Joseph of Archbishop Hoban.  Frank will be remembered as a hard working family man and an avid OSU fan, attending the Rose Bowl, Fiesta Bowl and Sugar Bowl. He attended many NASCAR races and was a season ticket holder for the Cleveland Browns for 50 years. Calling hours will be from 3 - 5 PM Sunday, October 19, 2014 at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel. Mass of Resurrection will be held at 10 AM Monday, October 20, 2014 at Immaculate Conception Church, 409 W. Main Street in Ravenna with Father William B. Kraynak officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery in Ravenna. The family would love to express their gratitude for the wonderful care from Donna Lloyd, Norma Stefansic and the entire staff at National Church Residences. Your thoughtfulness will always be remembered. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to St. Patrick School or St. Patrick Preschool Funds.
