Frederick W Ackerman

Frederick W. Ackerman, 65, of Ravenna passed away Tuesday, August 31, 2010 at Regency Hospital in Ravenna. He was born January 5, 1945 in Ravenna to the late Frank and India (Brown) Ackerman .  Fred enjoyed fishing, woodworking, cooking and spending time with his grandchildren.  We will miss his great sense of humor, disarming personality, and spontaneity. He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Brigitte (Zipp) Ackerman, his son Frank C. (Dee) Ackerman,
Daughter Stefanie Ross-Dean, 4 grandchildren, and one great grandchild.  He is also survived by sisters Midge (Stanley) Ellenberger, Dorthy (Robert) Eckerman, brother, Glenn Ackerman and his many nieces and nephews . Cremation has taken place.  Friends and Family will be received Saturday September 4, 2010 from 11:00 AM to Time of Services at 1:00 PM at the Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel.  Pastor Kent Wartick will lead the Memorial Service.  In Lieu of flowers memorials should be made to the Ravenna Boys and Girls Club, 519 N Walnut St Ravenna, OH 44266 .
