Frieda Pauline (Wymer) Dalrymple

Frieda Pauline (Wymer) Dalrymple, 88 of Ravenna passed away Monday December 9, 2013 at Kent Ridge on Golden Pond in Kent, Ohio. She was born March 14, 1925 in Ravenna, Ohio to the late Frank and Minnie (Shoe) Wymer. Mrs. Dalrymple has been a lifelong Ravenna resident and had worked for Ravenna Floral and the Ravenna Arsenal until her retirement in 1989. She was a 50 year member of the Ravenna First United Methodist Church, where she served on many committees such as the Altar Guild and Church Council and volunteered at the church office after her retirement. She volunteered at Robinson Memorial Hospital, was a past Matron of the Ravenna Chapter, No 46 Order of the Eastern Star and also served as President of District 2, Association of Chapters. Enjoying the game of golf, she made her first hole in one at the age of 83. Survivors include her children John (Sherry) Dalrymple of Ravenna, Janet (Arden) Doolittle of Rootstown, Kathryn (James) Tinker of Kent, Maryanne Hendrickson of Columbia, SC, 10 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, her sisters Inez Lemon of Cape Coral, Florida, Wanda Biltz of Rootstown and her brothers Floyd (Elaine) Wymer of Shelby Twp. MI and Leo Eugene (Ann) Wymer of Maumee, Ohio. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years John Dalrymple in 2005, her grandson Scott Hendrickson in 1995, her son in law Charles Hendrickson and siblings Donald Wymer, Roger Wymer, Royal Wymer, Clara Knapp and Blanche Peacock. Calling hours will be TONIGHT Tuesday December 10, 2013 from 5-7 PM at the Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Homes Ravenna Chapel where Ravenna Chapter 46 of the Order of Eastern Star will have services at 7:00 PM. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday December 11, 2013 at the Ravenna First United Methodist Church with Pastor Stephen Sparling officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Park Ravenna, Ohio. Memorials may be made to the Ravenna First United Methodist Church.
