Gary A Eckelberry

Gary A. Eckelberry, 72 of Mentor, passed away Thursday,  January 12, 2023 at Mentor Ridge Healthcare.  Gary was born in Coshocton,  Ohio on June 19, 1950 to Russel A. and Winifred (nee Parks) Eckelberry.  Gary was an avid hunter, fisherman, and outdoorsman.  He served as crew chief in the United States Air Force in Vietnam. Gary retired from Carmeuse Lime and Stone in Grand River as Maintenance Supervisor and millwright.  In addition to his parents, Gary was preceded in death by his son Robin J. Eckelberry  in 2019. Survivors include his beloved wife of 41 years, Sheryl (Sherry) (Wallace).  Children Deborah Jones, Stephen (Jodi) Poremba, daughter-in-law Karen Eckelberry, Grandchildren Nicole Parsons, Bobby, Kyle, and Lauren Jones,  Kelsey Poremba, Sydney Poremba, Hailey, Hannah, Holly Eckelberry, 4 great-grandchildren, siblings Lois, Bruce, Dana and Joyce of Coshocton, his nieces and nephews and his faithful companion Gidget .
