George Edward Basich

George Edward Basich, age 95 of Streetsboro passed away on March 16, 2018. George was born on November 23, 1922 in Clarksville, PA to Michael and Catherine Basich.  George retired from Chrysler in Twinsburg, he also  serviced his country in the US Army during WWII, he was a member of St. Joan of Arc Church in Streetsboro. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Millie, and his son George  Basich. He was also preceded in death by his 4 siblings; Josephine Mekey, Anna Marie Pitek, William S. Basich, and Michael Basich. George is survived by his son, Raymond Basich, sister-in-law Patricia Basich and by many nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, March 21, 2018 from 4-7 PM. The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Joan of Arc Church in Streetsboro at 10:30 AM ,Thursday, March 22, 2018, Fr. Luoni will officiate. Internment will take place at Evergreen Cemetery in Streetsboro. In lieu of flowers memorial donations, may be made to Cleveland Clinic Hospice.
