George Jeffery Cales, Sr.

George Jeffery Cales, Sr. 68 of Shalersville, passed away Tuesday December 27, 2022 at the UH Portage Medical Center in Ravenna, Ohio.  On June 22, 1954, Jeff was born in Cleveland, Ohio to the late George F. and Louella (Smith) Cales.  He was lifelong resident of the Mantua and Shalersville areas and had retired from LTV Steel in Cleveland.  Survivors include his wife Sherry Lynn (Kline) Cales whom he married September 7, 1974, his sons Jeff Cales, Jr. (Kimberly Valenti) and Jake (Shauna) Cales, his grandchildren Lindsee, Natalie, Ethan, Brooke and his siblings John Daniels, Melvin (June) Daniels, Mark Cales and  Susie (Ricky) Swartz.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his siblings Mike Daniels, Bobby Daniels, Lynn Kidd and Dirk Cales.  Gravside services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday January 4, 2023 at Maple Grove Cemetery Ravenna, Ohio.  Condolences and memories of  Jeff may be shared with his family at www.sscfuneralhomes.com.
