George E. Jobe

George E. Jobe, 97, of Randolph, passed away Tuesday September 24, 2024 with his children by his side. On July 17, 1927. George was born in Randolph, Ohio on their family farm, to the late George W. and Blanche K. (Loomis) Jobe.  George lived in Randolph and the Kent area all of his life, was a Veteran of the US Army serving in Korea near the end of WW II. After the war, he worked and retired after 44 years from Lamson and Session in Kent.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Marietta V. on Nov. 26, 2019, to whom he was married to for 65 years, and his sister Norma Warner.  Survivors include his children Kathleen A. (Hal) Loughry, George D. (Connie) Jobe and his grandchildren Daniel Loughry (Kelsey), Mark Loughry (Rachel), Craig Loughry (Brianna) and Charlotte Wadsworth (Shawn) and 10 great grandchildren.   In honoring his wishes cremation has taken place and a graveside service with military honors will be October 26th 2 pm at Hillside Cemetery Randolph, Ohio.  Condolences and memories of George may be shared with his family and friends at www.sscfuneralhomes.com.
