Heaven became a little bit sweeter on September 4, 2012, when George Lee Perry, age 73, walked through the pearly gates to be with his Heavenly Father. Now free of pain and suffering, he will be sadly missed by those he left behind here on earth, who loved him so very much. George was born on March 17, 1939 in W. Portsmouth, Ohio to the late Coy L. and Irene (Wallace) Perry. He was a hydraulic repairman for Armco for 32 years. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a member of Shiloh Masonic Lodge #544. George is survived by his wife of 51 years, Gabria (Tackett) Perry, of Atwater; daughters, Andrea Workman of Atwater and Cheryl (Michael) Denley of Las Vegas, Nevada; son, George A. Perry of Atwater; nine grandchildren, Chandra (Rick), Ashlee, Shaun, Olivia, Stephanie, Jerrica, Coi (Sabrina), Alexis, Michael; numerous great-grandchildren; sisters, Pat Ellish and Sharon Perry, both of Mansfield; brother , Ralph Perry of Mansfield; and beloved dog, Lulu. In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by his brother, Coy and son in law Danny Workman. Cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 22, 2012 at 12 PM in Mansfield Memorial Park, 2507 Park Ave. West, Mansfield, OH 44906.
