George E. Riefler

February 11, 1930 — April 3, 2011

George E. Riefler, 81, of Streetsboro, entered into Heaven on April 3, 2011 at home with his family at his side. He was born on February 11, 1930 in Hamburg, New York, a son of the late Floyd and Grace (Roesser) Riefler. George was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member and true follower of His Savior Jesus Christ, of Faith Baptist Church in Streetsboro. He leaves behind daughters, Dee Wilson of New Braunfels, Texas, Grace (John) King of Deerfield, and Kathy Riefler of Streetsboro; son, Dave Snider of New Braunfels, Texas; three grandsons, Joshua (Erica) Gatewood and Andrew Wilson, both following in his footsteps by joining the U.S. Army, and Ben King. There will also be a fourth grandson due August 2011; three great-grandchildren, Landon, Aubrey, and baby Kyrsten, who is due in August as well; and two nephews, Jim (Betty) Mast of Manassas, Virginia and Bill (Karen) Mast of Ramsey, New Jersey. In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by his sister, Shirley Mast, Aunt Thelma, and granddaughter, Stephanie Wilson. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 6-8 PM. A graveside service will be held on Thursday at 11 AM at the Western Reserve Memorial Gardens, 11521 Chillicothe Road, Chesterland, OH, with Pastor Don Workman officiating, Memorial donations may be made to the Faith Baptist Church, 9890 State Route 43, Streetsboro, OH 44241.
