George D Shiner, Jr.

George D. Shiner, Jr., 63 of Kent formerly of Mantua, passed away March 14, 2024. George was born on June 18, 1960 in Cleveland, Ohio to his parents George D. Shiner, Sr., and Pat (Mullin) Shiner. He had worked as a crane operator for Cleveland Cliffs. George loved music and enjoyed playing the drums for several area bands, and was also a proud service member of the United States Army. He was preceded in death by his father. George is survived by his wife, Emily A. (Farley) Shiner whom he married on July 31, 1993, his children George D. Shiner, III, Andrew B. Shiner, Gregory T. Shiner and Johnny Ahn, his mother Pat Shiner, and  siblings Mary Jo Stack, Patricia (David) Thomas, and Tim Shiner. Per his request, cremation has taken place and memorial calling hours will be Saturday March 23, 2024 from 3:00PM - 5:00PM at the Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Streetsboro Chapel.
