George H. Yaeger 85 of Rootstown passed away suddenly on Friday September 25, 2015 at his residence. He was born December 5, 1929 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Henry George and Rose (Demming) Yaeger. George has lived in Rootstown since 1966 and was formerly of Bedford Hts. He retired after 26 years of service from Black and Decker and after seven years of service from the Woelco, Inc. both in Solon. He proudly served his country with the US Navy during the Korean War, was a member of the Rootstown United Methodist Church and enjoyed playing golf, doing crossword puzzles , playing cards and was a very kind hearted gentleman. On July 30, 2011 he lost the love of his life, his wife Vivian, also preceding him in death were his parents and his brother Henry Yaeger. Survivors include his daughter Laurette Yaeger of Rootstown, special friends Roland and Jennifer Gerrick of Rootstown and four legged friend Sophie. At his requests there will be no calling hours or funeral services, cremation has taken place. Private family services may be held at a later date.
