On October 26, Gerald James Turck was reunited with his beloved wife, Jean, to whom he was married for sixty years.  Gerald was born in Clymer, New York, son of the late Ernest James Turck and Myrtle Pardoe. Gerald was a retired dairy farmer, having farmed along side his wife and children for over forty years. He was an avid and gifted woodworker, and it gave him great joy to create beautiful furniture, cabinets and other works of art.  Gerald was greatly loved and will be greatly missed by his children and their families: daughter Diane, Roger and Christopher Brinker; daughter Susan, Jennifer and Gerald Starkey; son David, Cynthia, David Jr. and Ernest Turck; daughter Elizabeth, Brian, Brian Jr, Rebecca and Melissa Stansberry; son James, James Jr, Scott and Samantha Turck; daughter Linda, Charlie, Benjamin and Keenan Stacy; and son Gerald Patrick Turck.  He is also survived by sister Marilyn (Claude) Ball, brother Raymond Turck, granddaughters and grandsons in -law and nine great-grandchildren.  He was met by others who preceded him in death; father Ernest, mother Myrtle, brother Howard Turck, mother and father in-law Lillie Mae and Henry Whittaker, son-in-law Lonnie Starkey and grandson Michael.  Arrangements are being made through Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home, Ravenna Chapel. Calling hours will be held Sunday, October 30, from 2 - 5 PM. A Burial Mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, October 31, 2011 at St. Peter's of  the Field Catholic Church in Rootstown, with Father David Misbrener officiating.
