Gladys Marie (Dukes) Weatherbee

Gladys Marie (Dukes) Weatherbee went home to be with the Lord on Friday, July 22, 2011.  She was born January 27, 1932 in Akron, Ohio to the late William and Margaret (Flannigan) Dukes.  She has lived in Streetsboro for over 50 years.  She loved the Lord with all her heart and her most cherished moments were the times spent with her family and her precious little buddy Cooper.  She was preceded  in death by her husband of 53 years, Morris (Gene) Weatherbee.  She is survived by son Mark (Sheila) Weatherbee of  Mantua, daughters Monica (Dave) Mager of Streetsboro, Christina (Ronnie) Pascal of Shalersville, son in law Walter Sweet of Shalersville, grandchildren Kristen (Josh) Patton, Michael (Nicole) Mager, Cassie and Candie Sweet, Callie, Matthew, Meranda, Marissa, Marcus and Max Weatherbee, Ronnie, Gina and Ryan Pascal, eight great grandchildren and one great grandson expected in August, sisters Eunice Focht of Akron, Mildred Burrell, Cathy (John) Pavlakovic, Sandra (Robert) Baker all of Florida, Mary (William) Stowe of Tennessee, many nieces, nephews and loving friends.  Also preceded in death are daughter Darla Sweet, son and daughter in law Matthew and Amy Weatherbee,  foster daughter Norma Johnson, brother William Dukes and sisters Rita White and Cynthia Dukes.  Calling hours will be 2-4 & 6-8 PM Monday July 25, 2011 at Shorts-Spicer-Crislip Funeral Homes Streetsboro Chapel where funeral services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday July 26, 2011 with burial to follow in Evergreen Cemetery Streetsboro, Ohio.  The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorials may be to Crossroads Hospice. She will be forever loved and missed.
