Gladys Head Evans, 93, of Harrogate, TN, went to be with her Heavenly Family on April 26,2015.
She was born April 7, 1922 in Forge Ridge, TN, the daughter of the late Rev. Henry and Bessie Sharp Ellison. She was a member of the Riverview Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Raymond Head; Son: John R. Head; Grandchildren: Tammy and Donny Jr.; 2. great grandchildren: Donny III and Dustin; her sisters: Grace George, Geneva Shoffner and Ada Marshall; brothers: Henry Earl, John and James Ellison. She is survived by her husband: James Evans Children: Don (Marcia) Head; Janice (Daniel) Reese; Bill (Linda) Head and Brenda Whitaker. Step-Children: Jimmy (Brenda) Evans; Carson (Nancy) Evans; Ruth (John) Irby and Mary Alice (Buford) Powell. Sisters: Cleva Fish and Rena Ellis Brother: Leonard Ellison 9 Grandchildren, 20 Great Grandchildren and 4 Great-great Grandchildren and a host of step-grandchildren and great·grandchildren. Graveside services and interment will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, April 30, at the Westlawn Cemetery in Mantua,OH.
