Gladys A. (Porter) Weis

Gladys A. Weis 84 of Shalersville Township died Thursday, May 14, 2015. She was born June 12, 1930 in Windham, Ohio to Elmer and Ethel (Shively) Porter. Gladys was a member of the Hiram Christian Church and retired from Crestwood City Schools. Survivors include her daughter Geri (Peter Snitzer) Weis of Solon, sons Eric (Julie) Weis of Richfield and Glen (Patti) Weis of Wadsworth, grandchildren Brandon (Sarah), Alyssa and Seth, great granddaughter Abby Lee, sisters Wanda Vasarhely, Ruth Marlewski, Barbara Biltz and Linda Hrobak, brothers John, Richard, James and Harold Porter and dear friend Harold Taylor. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Herbert in 1991 and a brother Charles Porter. Calling hours will be from 10 AM until time of services at 11 AM Monday, May 18, 2015 at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Streetsboro Chapel. Reverend Michael Fetty will officiate. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery in Shalersville. In lieu of flowers the family request memorials to Hiram Christian Church, 6868 Wakefield Road, Hiram, OH 44234.
