Glen Dale Taylor 88 of Ravenna died Thursday, April 21, 2011. He was born June 9, 1922 in New Dale, WV to the late Howard and Hazel (Liston) Taylor. A US Army veteran of WWII, he was a member of the Ravenna VFW #1055, DAV and the Ravenna American Legion #331. Glen retired from Allen Aircraft where he was a machinist. Survivors include his daughter Barbara (Ron) Davis of Mantua, son Dennis (Marie) Taylor of Ravenna, 3 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, sisters Mary Lou Jacoby of Ravenna and Lois Rittman of Windham and a brother Darrell Taylor of Ravenna. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Alveretta Taylor in 2002. Calling hours will be from 6 - 8 PM Monday, April 25, 2011 at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel, where funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, April 26, 2011 with Alan Rittman officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Park in Ravenna.
