Glenda F Enders

Glenda F. Enders, 90, of Ravenna, passed away Monday October 27, 2025 at the UH Portage Medical Center in Ravenna, Ohio. On September 27, 1935, Glenda was born in Byrdstown, Tennessee to the late Stanley and Elva (Dillon) Hassler. She lived in Tennesse her first seven years of life until her parents moved to Akron, Ohio for defense work during WWII. Glenda graduated from West High School in 1953, salutatorian of her class. She met Robert Enders in 1953 on a double date. They married a few months later, and she has lived in Ravenna since 1954. Glenda worked in public service positions for 43 years, retiring from the Portage County Board of Elections after thirty years where she was the director. She served in the position of County Recorder as well. Formerly with the First Christian Church in Ravenna for sixty years, Glenda was a member of the Shreve Christian Church in Shreve, Ohio where her son is the pastor. Glenda was an avid reader and Cleveland Cavaliers fan. Her most percious moments were gatherings with her family. Glenda was an inspiration to so many who called her firiend. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Robert Enders on March 2, 1988, her daughter Denise Isackila, and her brother Stanley Dale Hassler. Survivors include her son Wayne R. (Laura) Enders, Kathy (William) Schumacher, her grandchildren Melissa Snyder, Sarah Isackila-Vega, Katie Isackila, Betsy Reese, Daniel Enders, Bill Schumacher, Aaron Schumaucher, her great-grandchildren Weston Senz, Quentin Senz, Alexander White, Molly Reese and Adley Schumacher. Calling hours will be Monday November 3, 2025 from 11 AM until time of funeral services at 1:00 PM at the Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Homes Ravenna Chapel.
