Glenda Mary Schomer

Glenda Mary Schomer, 83, of Ravenna, passed away Tuesday September 24, 2024 at Ganzhorn Suites in Powell, Ohio.  Being a lifelong Ravenna resident, she was born in Ravenna on May 5, 1941 to the late Werner and Mary (Welsch) Spohn.  Mrs. Schomer had worked as an RN for Robinson Memorial Hospital (UH Portage Medical Center) and also a cosmetologist at Glamour Nook.  She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Ravenna, Ohio.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers Howard Spohn and Paul Spohn.  Survivors include her husband of 66 years Donald Schomer whom she married December 7, 1957, her children Donald (Libby) Schomer, Sherree (Kevin) Skilton, Kristina (Schomer)  Braden and Kathleen (Stephen) Schomer Stack, 10 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and brothers Lawrence Spohn and Abraham Spohn.  Calling hours will be 10:00 AM Thursday October 3, 2024 until time of the funeral services at 11:00 AM at the Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Homes Ravenna Chapel with Rev. Laurie Metzko officiating.  Burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Park Ravenna, Ohio.
