Goldie Elledge

Goldie Elledge  83 of Ravenna, passed away Friday September 23, 2016 at Brookdale of Stow with her family by her side.  She was born June 7, 1933 in Tazewell, Tennessee to the late Carlie and Viola (Rowlett) Martin.  Living in Ravenna mostly of her life she had retired from Kent State University  where she worked in food services and was a member of Stow Falls Baptist Church.  She is survived by her husband of 62 years Charles Elledge whom she married August 6, 1954, her daughters Cathy  (Tim) Jones of  Stow, Debra Stone of Lucas, Ohio, her grandchildren Nathaniel Jones, Andrew Jones, Sarah Jones, Seth Stone, Brittany Bennett,  her great grandchildren Kayla, Emeril, Joshua, Tia, Jakob, Cillian, Tyler, Lucy and Arabella.  Also surviving  Goldie are her sisters Sylvia Mitchell, Betty Roland, Kattie Surber and Sharon Allen.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Charles W. Elledge, Jr.  and siblings William Martin and Georgia Bush.  Calling hours will be from 12 noon until time of funeral services at 1:30 PM on Friday September 30, 2016 at the Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Homes Ravenna Chapel with Rev. Timothy Huth officiating.  Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery Ravenna, Ohio.  Our family would like to thank Dr. Raux and his staff for the great care they gave Mom over the years.  We would also like to thank the staff of Stow Brookdale Senior Living and Crossroads Hospice for the care, respect and compassion they gave Mom during the last year.  Condolences and memories of Goldie may be shared with the family at www.sscfuneralhomes.com.
