Gordon R. West 89 of Ravenna died Wednesday, August 7, 2013. He was born July 11, 1924 in Galesville, Wisconsin to Robert and Idell West. A Ravenna resident since 1962, he was a self employed Realtor and Auctioneer, a member of the Kent Presbyterian Church and enjoyed painting. Survivors include his daughter Kathleen (Dennis) Rockhold of Atwater and her children Matthew (Alisen), Gregory (Valerie) and Jessica, son Richard R. Reish of Tallmadge and his children Christa, Johnathan, Justin and Brandon, 10 great grandchildren and brother Calvin West of Trempleau, Wisconsin. Calling hours will be from 11 AM to time of service at 1 PM Monday, August 12, 2013 at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel with Reverend M. Karen Ballard officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in Ravenna. In lieu of flowers the family request memorials to Akron Children's Hospital Building on the Promise Mahoning Valley, 6505 Market Street, Boardman, OH 44512.
