Gwendolyn A. (Brown) Goldbeck-Carter

Gwendolyn A. Goldbeck-Carter 56 of Ravenna passed away Monday July 11, 2011 at Robinson Memorial Hospital in Ravenna, Ohio.  She was born April 12, 1955 in Bogalusa, Louisiana to Carl Brown and Carrie (Owens) Munson.  She has lived in Ravenna most of her life, was a member of the Winfield  Church of God in Christ  and was a veteran of the US Army.    Survivors include her husband of 17 years  Eugene Carter, her mother Carrie (Dennis) Munson of Ravenna, brothers Wayne Smith of Washington, Bernard (Michelle) Smith of Arizona, Raymond (Aundi) Priester of Akron, sisters Patricia Justice of Ravenna, Stephanie Thomas of Akron and numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her father Carl Brown.  Calling hours will be  Sunday  July17, 2011 from  2-4 & 6-8 PM at Shorts-Spicer-Crislip Funeral Homes Ravenna Chapel and from 10 AM until time of funeral services at 11:00 AM  on Monday  July 18, 2011 at the Winfield Church of God in Christ in Ravenna, Ohio.   Burial and Military services will be 10:30 AM Wednesday  July 20, 2011 at Ohio Western Reserve Cemetery in Rittman, Ohio.  Condolesnces may be shared with the family at www.sscfuneralhomes.com.
