Harley K. Smith

Harley K. Smith 68 of Stow passed away Thursday June 9, 2011 at Altercare of Brimfield. He was born December 16, 1942 in Ravenna, Ohio to the late Harley B. and Mary Lola (Lee) Smith. Mr. Smith has lived in Stow the past 15 years and was formerly of Kent. He was a 1960 graduate from Kent Roosevelt, a veteran of the US Army and was a retired senior design engineer from M.K. Ferguson. He used to enjoy building and flying model airplanes and was a corvette enthusiast. Survivors include his brother William Smith of Canton, sisters Delores Echnat of Uniontown, Lola Sorbara of Rootstown, Karen Shaffer of Racine, Wisconsin and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents who died previously his sister Betty Francis recently passed away after his passing. There will be no calling hours or services, at his requests, cremation has taken place. The family would like to thank Altarcare of Hartville and Brimfield, Robinson Memorial Hospital and the Aseracare Hospice.
