Harold R. Boston 82 of Ravenna, formerly of Akron, died Wednesday, January 22, 2014. He was born July 17, 1931 in Akron, OH to George E. and Juliet B. (Pickens) Boston. Harold was a US Army veteran and a recipient of the Purple Heart. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Ravenna. Survivors include his brother Donald R. Boston of Akron and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister May E. (Boston) May and brothers Frank E. Sr., Albert M., Jack R. and G. Verner Boston. Calling hours will be held from 1 - 3 PM Sunday, January 26, 2014 at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel. Funeral services will be at 11 AM Monday, January 27, 2014 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 170 N. Freedom Street, Ravenna, Ohio with Pastor Dan Caruso officiating. Following the services a luncheon will be served at the church and the committal service and burial will be at 2:30 PM Monday at Rose Hill Burial Park in Akron. In lieu of flowers memorials should be made to Coleman Adult Day Services, 6695 N. Chestnut Street, Ravenna, Ohio 44266.
