Harold E. Howell

Harold E. Howell 85 of Springfield, TN passed away Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at his home.  He was born June 7, 1926 to the late James W. and Amanda M (Shaw) Howell.  Formerly of Kent, Nebraska, and Fort Myers, he has lived in Springfield, TN since 2002.  He served with the US Marines during WWII, was the State Auditor and retired from the selective service in Nebraska.  Survivors include his daughters, Carolyn Risher of Oklahoma City, Rena Rishchar of Tucson, AZ, Jacquelyn Smith of Nebraska, sons Eric (Christine) Howell of Goodlettsville, TN, Gary Howell of California, David Howell of Nebraska, sister, Helen Crall of Shadyside, OH, and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM Monday, July 25, 2011 at the Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel. Rev. William Snyder will be officiating.  Burial will take place in Riverside Cemetery Shalersville following the service.
