Harold R. Spengler

Harold R. "Hank" Spengler, 79, of Streetsboro passed away peacefully at his residence on Wednesday September 25, 2013 surrounded by his family. He was born May 27, 1934 in Johnstown, PA to the late Erwin and Lillie (Sellers) Spengler and has lived in Streetsboro the past 48 years. He retired from Custom Investigations Service in Streetsboro where he worked in security and was a veteran of the US Army. Hank enjoyed spending time with his family, watching the Cleveland Browns and hunting and fishing. Survivors include his wife of 48 years Marie (Daughenbaugh) Spengler whom he married March 27, 1965, his children Earnest (Sally) McGowan, Thomas (Kim) McGowan, Pamela (Thomas) Bradshaw, Debora Bradshaw, Alice (Jerry) Sinn, Sherri (Kevin) Yoder and Holly McGowan, 15 grandchildren , 18 great grandchildren and siblings Edna Miller and her son Robbie, Paul Spengler and Barbara Russell. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Erwin, Jr., Robert and John "Tubby". Calling hours will be Sunday September 29, 2013 from 11:00 Am until time of funeral services at 1:00 PM at the Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Homes Streetsboro Chapel.
