Harriet M (Humphrey) Bartow

August 11, 1928 — September 11, 2012

Harriet M. Bartow 84 of Peninsula wenthome to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 11, 2012. She was born August 11, 1928 in Cleveland to the late Thomas and Hazel (Mueke) Humphrey. She worked at Hawthorn State Hospital for 20 years till she retired. Harriet enjoyed bowling, cooking, baking, (where she was known for her scrumptious apple pie), she loved helping and spending time with friends and family, especially her grandchildren.  She was a member of Lighthouse Church in Cuyahoga Falls. She is survived by daughters, Bonnie (Rick) DeWall, Pat (Guy) Duplechain, Kathy Bartow, Nancy (Hugh) Hoffman, sons, Larry (Pam) Bartow, Clyde (Carol) Bartow, Ron Bartow, grandchildren, Kenneth, Brian, Dana, Dakotah, Daniel, Melina, Stephanie, a number of great grandchildren, and a sister, Eleanor Tschudy. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, C. Wayne Bartow (July 7, 2006), sister, Hazel Krenicky, brothers, Jimmy, Teddy, and Thomas. Calling hours will be held from 5 - 8 PM Thursday, September 13, 2012 at the Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Streetsboro Chapel. Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 PM Friday, September 14, 2012 at the Funeral Home with Pastor Cary Wadle officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery following the service.
