Harry A. Carpenter

Harry A. Carpenter, Sr., 73 of Ravenna passed away Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at UH Portage Medical Center. He was born January 28, 1948 in Salem, Ohio. A resident of Ravenna since 1975, Harry had happily retired from ODOT, when he drove haul trucks for the community for many years. Beloved husband to Nancy (Fields) for 46 years, loving father to Harry (Michellie) Carpenter, Jr., Rebecca (Michael) Pender, Nadine (Joe) Kravetz, Stephanie (Shawn) Croasman all of Ravenna and Amanda (Joe) Dickey-Ballentine of Clarksville, TN. A smile would always be found when speaking of his 11 grandchildren or 10 great grandchildren. Harry truly enjoyed talking to anyone that would lend an ear, Harry never knew a stranger. Preceded in death by many family members, we know with confidence Harry is hauling materials for his Lord and Savior to pave the way for others "Road Trips" to heaven. Per his wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 1 PM Friday, January 14, 2022 at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel.
