Harry "Joe" Pritts

Harry "Joe" Pritts. 73 of Rootstown, passed away Wednesday April 11, 2012 at his residence. He was born November 28, 1938 in Rockwood, PA to the late Harry and Madeline (Yutzy) Pritts. He has lived in Rootstown since 1952 and was formerly of Phillippi, WVA. Joe retired after 30 years of service from General Motors in Lordstown and is the owner of Joe's Tree and Stump Removal. He was a veteran of the US Army and belonged to the Ravenna VFW Post 1055, Ravenna American Legion Post 331, Ravenna Rod and Gun Club and the Ravenna Moose #1234. Survivors include his wife Margaret (Roop) Pritts whom he married in 1962, sons Joe Pritts of Mogadore, James (Heidi) Pritts of Edinburg, daughter Jennifer (Terry) Lowther of Rootstown, grandchildren Dana, Devon, Shelby, Sadie, James, Jr. He is also survived by his step brothers H. Carl Pritts of Edinburg, Ronnie Cline of Ravenna, sisters Maxine Jones, Gerry Ansell step sister Pam Weaver all of PA. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Madeline , his step mother Betty and his step brother Bob Yutzy. Calling hours will be 2-5 PM Sunday April 15, 2012 at the Shorts-Spicer-Crislip Funeral Homes Ravenna Chapel where funeral services will be 1:00 PM Monday April 16, 2012 with Rev. Stephen Sparling Officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Park Ravenna, Ohio with Military Honors performed by the US Army and the Ravenna VFW Post 1055.
