Harry J. "Stub" Bower

Harry J. "Stub" Bower, 95, of Ravenna passed away Wednesday, July 20, 2022. He was born November 17, 1926 in Randolph, Ohio to Harry J. Sr and Irene (Moon) Bower. Harry retired in 1977 from Kent State University where he worked in maintenance and was a member of the Kent Canadian Club. He enjoyed fishing, bowling, gardening and watching his grandkids’ sporting events. Survivors include his children Gloria (Don) Kennedy, Gayle Hoskins, Larry (Mary Ann) Bower and Guy (Shawn) Bower, 8 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, companion Nora Calvin and siblings Betty Tilden and Tom Bower. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Elaine in 2001 and siblings Mary Mika, Ruth Dillon, Dorothy Farnsworth, Robert Bower, Richard Bower and Harold Bower. Calling hours and memorial service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, August 6, 2022 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 170 N. Freedom Street in Ravenna. Entombment will be in Grandview Memorial Park.
