Helen Marie (Snabel) Svab

Helen Marie Svab 93 of Streetsboro passed away Wednesday May 12, 2010 at Akron City Hospital. She was born August 8, 1916 in Omaha, Nebraska to the late James and Anna (Kavulak) Snabel. She had a Strong Faith in our Lord, and a strong faith and value for the Catholic Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family, and working side by side, white washing, and welding with her husband in the in the early years of their marriage. Helen also enjoyed beekeeping, which she did with her neighbors and friends. Survivors include her sons, Daniel (Deirdre) Svab of Streetsboro, James Svab of Ravenna, 3 Grandchildren, 1 Long Term Foster Grandson and, 7 great grandchildren. She was preceded by her husband, Rudolph J. Svab who died in 1976, 2 grandsons, 1 sister, 2 brothers and, daughter-in-law, Harriet Svab. Calling hours will be held from 5-8 PM Monday, May 17, 2010 at the Shorts-Spicer-Crislip Funeral Home Streetsboro Chapel. Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 AM Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at St. Joan of Arc Church Streetsboro with Father Pat Ferraro officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
