Helen M (Spellman) Cartnal

Helen M. Cartnal 91 of Ravenna passed away Sunday September 18, 2011 at the Woodlands at  Robinson.  She was born May 19, 1920 in Newark, Ohio, to the late Warner Joseph and Hilda Theresa (O'Donnell) Spellman.  She lived most her life in Newark, traveling to Siesta Key , FL for the winters.  She retired in 1970 from Licking County Memorial Hospital where she was a Physical Therapist.  Survivors include her son, Robert (Mary Jo) Mercer of Ravenna, 2 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren.  She was proceeded in death by her husband Richard T. Cartnal who died in 1980, her parents, and her  sister, Virginia Grindle. Cremation has taken place and a private burial will be held at later date in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Newark, Ohio.  Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel is handling the arrangements.
