Helen L. (Woodrum) Cales

Helen L. Cales 75 of Ravenna, passed away Thursday October 27, 2011 at her residence with her family by her side. She was born November 10, 1935 in McDunn, West Virginia to the late Jesse and Masol M. (Holcome) Woodrum. She has lived in Ravenna since 1960 and in 1999 she retired from Parker Hannifan Corporation in Ravenna where she worked as a material handler. She enjoyed watching Nascar and spending time in her flower garden. Survivors include her husband of 51 years Ronald Cales, her son Ronald A. (Debra McClure) Cales of Ravenna, her grandson Cory Adelman, sisters Wanda Coulter of Clay, WVA and Norma Bodkins of Cleveland and her loving pet cat snowball. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Cecil Woodrum and sister Loretta Stringer. There will be no calling hours, a memorial service will be held 1:00 PM Monday October 31, 2011 at Shorts-Spicer-Crislip Funeral Homes Ravenna Chapel, The family would especially like to thank the RMH Hospice and VNA and neighbors Mr. & Mrs. Robert and Lutricia Nation and Sharon Fenstermacher.
