Helene S. (Zirhut) Nething

Helene S. Nething 93 of Stow died Saturday, March 4, 2017. She was born May 29, 1923 in Vienna, Austria to Franz and Anna (Hurban) Zirhut. Helene has lived in Stow since 1958, was a former member of the Ravenna First Christian Church, the Kent American Legion, the Independent Order of Foresters and the German Family Society. Survivors include her children Peggy Nething and Mike Nething of Stow, grandson Aaron and great granddaughter Kirsten. She cared for family and friends very much and they all thought she was a very special lady. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Kenneth in 1965 and son Frank in 1986. Cremation has taken place, a graveside service will be held at Maple Grove Cemetery at 2 PM on Thursday, March 9, 2017 with Reverend Laurie Metzko officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel.
