Herbert A. Hirt

Herbert A. Hirt 86 of Streetsboro died Saturday, May 24, 2014. He was born January 13, 1928 in Cleveland, Ohio to Karl and Elizabeth (Schmider) Hirt. Mr. Hirt was a US Army veteran of WWII, attended Streetsboro United Methodist Church and worked as an estimator in the construction industry until his retirement. Survivors include his daughters Evelyn (Donald)  Huntsman of Streetsboro and Margaret (Mike) Arbaugh of Atwater, sons Karl (Cathy) Hirt of Cuyahoga Falls, Richard (Wendy) Hirt of Kent and Warren (Michelle) Hirt of Sacramento, CA, 14 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, brother Richard Hirt of Stow and companion Laura Holan of Streetsboro. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Frank Hirt. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 1 pm on Saturday, May 31, 2014 at the Streetsboro United Methodist Church with Reverend Stephen Sparling officiating. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials to the Streetsboro Heritage Foundation.
