Irene Marie (Kovach) Stutzman

Irene Marie Stutzman,95 years of age, passed away Tuesday, June 20, 2023, with her family by her side. Born in Euclid Ohio on August 15th, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Christine (Pecjak) Kovach. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Gordon of 71 years of marriage who were married on October 1st, 1949. Also preceding her in death was her cherished son Gary and her brother Robert Kovach. Irene was a lifetime resident of Aurora and former member of The Church of the Brethren. During her working career she was an accountant at Thistledown Race track for over twenty years up until retirement. Irene loved spending time with her family especially her five grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as gardening on her “ponderosa” . Survivors include her daughter Debra (Robert) Labadie of Columbus, son David (Carrie) of Arlington Heights, Ill., grandchildren Jason Labadie, Nicole (Adam) Yankush, Jennifer (Sean) Carroll, William Stutzman and Dana Stutzman, and great grandchildren, Lila and Violet Yankush and Ava, Harper and Chloe Carroll.
