Ivan T. Vanscoy

Ivan T. Vanscoy, 89 of Streetsboro, Ohio passed away July 25, 2026. He was born February 14, 1937 in Elkins West Virgina to the late Ray and Eleanor Vanscoy.

Ivan proudly served in the U.S. Army and retired from the Ford Motor Company after many years of service.

He loved spending time with family and friends, playing cards, games, and watching old Westerns. Ivan would never say no when it came to a leisurely drive to West Virgina for a visit.

In addition to his parents and brothers, David and Bill he was preceded in death by his first wife, Cleota in 1990 and his second wife Verna Kay in 2015. I

Ivan is survived by his children, Mike Vanscoy of Elkins West Virgina, Michele (Richard) Morell of Mantua, and Terry (Tina) Vanscoy of Mantua; brothers, Julian (Jane) of Tallmadge, Ohio and Ed. Vanscoy of Cuyahoga Falls Ohio; nine grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and sister-in-law Wilma Vanscoy and many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 1, 2026 from 11am to 1pm at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home 9781 Page Rd Streetsboro, Ohio 44241 with funeral service to follow at 1pm. Graveside service with military honors will be held on Tuesday, August 4, 2026 at 1:00pm at Elkins Memorial Gardens, 75 Elkins Memorial Drive, Elkins West Virgina.
