J. Sue (Williams) Polomsky

Mrs. J. Sue Polomsky (née Williams), of Edinburg, Ohio, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, February 25, 2021 at the age of 75. Sue was born to parents Elmer and Minnie Williams on September 6, 1945 in Norton, VA. She grew up as the third of four children. She married Bob Polomsky in 1965 and recently celebrated their 55th anniversary together on 4 September. She was a loving and devoted mother to two children. Sue was a long-time resident of Rootstown, OH and worked at Durham Electric, Paeco Rubber Company, Bronco’s Bear Creek steak house, and Sorbothane, Inc. over the last 55 years. She served a Portage County 4-H advisor and Equestrian Club leader many years. She enjoyed horseback riding and travelling all over the country with her “Fab Five” group of cousins, but her favorite thing was spending time with her grandchildren. Sue is preceded in death by her father Elmer Williams, her mother Minnie Williams, and her older brothers Elmer (Junior) Williams Jr. and Kelly Williams. Sue is survived by her husband Bob Polomsky, her daughter Rhonda Lipply and husband Scott; her son Doug Polomsky and wife Tonya; her brother Randy Williams and wife Anne Marie; grandchildren Ashley and husband Sean, Ryan and wife Amanda, Coty and wife Brooke, Amber, and Trevor; and great-granddaughters Addison, Rylan, and Harper.  Calling hours will be from 1 PM until time of funeral services at 2:30 PM on Friday, March 12, 2021 at the Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel (MASK MUST BE WORN AND SOCIAL DISTANCING IS REQUIRED AT ALL TIMES.) Burial will follow in Edinburg Cemetery. The family is grateful for the condolences and wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Hospice of the Western Reserve team for their exceptional care and compassion.
