Jack G (Jackie) Crislip 77 years of age, passed away 11/09/2015 at the Cleveland Clinic.
Born in Orlando, West Virginia on 5/3/1938, he was the son of Clem H and Opal M (Skinner) Crislip.
Jack grew up on Murphy’s Creek in Weston, WV and relocated to Ravenna in 1963 with his beloved wife Barbara (Gay). He was employed at the Ford plan in Walton Hills where he worked as a material handler for 30 years.
Jack loved hunting, fishing, bowling and West Virginia sports and he coached his son Steve’s little league baseball team for several years. He was a member of the Blackhorse Baptist Church, the Ravenna Moose Club, the Nordonia Hills Gun Club, the UAW and NRA lifetime member.
He was a veteran of the US Army where he proudly served his country for 4 years after graduating from Weston High School.
Jack and his wife loved to travel and have special memories of vacations in St. Thomas, Hilton Head Island and Myrtle Beach.
Jack is survived by his wife of 53 years Barbara, his daughter Candy Meeker (Robert) of Tallmadge, his son Steven (Robin) of Mantua, his grandchildren Erin, Jared, Lauren and Derek and his great grandson Gabriel.
He was preceded in death by his parents, several brothers and sisters and by his son Robert.
Friends and family may call on Thursday 11/12 from 6 to 8 PM at the Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home in Ravenna.
The Memorial service will take place at the funeral home on Friday 11/13 at 11 AM. Interment will follow at the Grandview Memorial Cemetery.
