Jack A. Myers

Jack A. Myers, Jr. 81 of Palmyra died Thursday, August 11, 2011. He was born May 26, 1930 in Carrolltown, PA to the late Jack and Annie (Smith) Myers. Formerly of Edinburg, Jack has lived in Palmyra since 1955 and worked as a maintenance supervisor for Rockwell Standard and a plant supervisor for Crane Plumbing. Survivors include his wife of 59 years Norma Sue (Staton), daughters Connie Surnak of Edinburg and Lorraine Cadle of Diamond, sons Jack Douglas Myers of Newton Falls and Jerry Michael Myers of Berlin Center, 10 grandchildren, Stacy, Michael, TJ, Sara, Mary, Douglas, Iva, Nathan, Ethan and Matthew. 5 great grandchildren, Logan, Blake, Avery, Odyssey and Calleigh, sister Joyce Ruggles of Idaho and brothers Merle Myers of Atwater and Paul Myers of Columbus. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Betty Jane Burkey and Ester Braden and a brother Carl Myers. Calling hours will be held from 11 AM to time of services at 1 PM Tuesday, August 16, 2011 at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel. Pastor Brad Edder will officiate. Burial will follow in West Cemetery in Palmyra.
