Jackie Maurer

Jackie K. Maurer, age 63 of Streetsboro, Ohio passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 13, 2026. She was born on October 2, 1963 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Richard and Lillian Schuetz.

Jackie had a big heart for animals and a special love for Halloween and all things Disney. She was an avid sports fan, especially when it came to cheering on her beloved Pittsburgh Steelers. Above all, Jackie loved her family. No matter how old her children became, she never stopped being a mom. She always cared deeply for her family and made sure they knew they were loved. Her loving heart, unique personality, and devotions to those closets to her will be dearly missed.

Jackie is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, John Maurer; her children, Amanda (Steve) Thompson, Steven Maurer, Justin Maurer and Jordan Maurer; her beloved dog Keely; and her grand dogs, Lexi, Mya, Miley, and Belle. She also leaves behind her dear family friend, Erin Blackburn.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 24, 2026 from 11am to 1pm at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Streetsboro Chapel, 9781 Page Road Streetsboro, Ohio 44241. A celebration of Jackie’s life will follow at 1pm with David Thompson officiating. In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to the Cuyahoga County Animal Shelter (www.animalshelter.cuyahogacounty.gov)
