Jackson D. Smallridge, Jr.

Jackson D. Smallridge, Jr., 90 of Ravenna, passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at the Hudson Grande Assisted Living Facility.  He was born in French Creek, West Virginia on November 28, 1933 to the late Jackson D. and Vera O. (Long) Smallridge, Sr. He was a veteran of the US Army and had lived in the Ravenna area for over 68 years.  In 1990 he had retired from the Ravenna Post Office where he had worked for 30 years as a supervisor.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his children's mother, Carolyn Smallridge and his two sisters.  Survivors include his Life Partner, Delores Paquette and his children Barbara (Joseph) Costanzo and Michael Smallridge and his grandchildren, Brandon Costanzo, Courtney Costanzo and Dakota Smallridge.  He loved to go hunting in WV, his square dancing, clog dancing and watching his NASCAR.  In honoring his wishes, cremation has taken place and family burial will take place at Bethlehem Methodist Cemetery in French Creek, West Virginia.  Condolences and memories of Jackson may be shared with his family at www.sscfuneralhomes.com.
