James "'Jim" A. Deiwert

James "Jim" A. Deiwert, age 90 of Charlestown Twp. passed away on March 22, 2018. Jim was born on November 25, 1927 in McDonald, OH to the late James and Gladys Deiwert. He worked as a Crane Operator for LTV Steel in Warren, and was a member of Frist United Methodist Church in Ravenna, and Pleasant Valley Evangelical Church in Liberty, Ohio . Jim was also a member of the Pleasant Timers, Ravenna Community Choir, Senior Men's Bowling League, and he also was a poll worker for Portage County Elections Board. Jim was preceded in death by his first wife Betty Jean Deiwert, second wife Imogene Deiwert, daughters Cheryl J. Colwell,  Valura Jo Biles, granddaughter Elizabeth Neeley, and siblings Margene Murosko and Fred Deiwert. Survivors include  his sons Charles F. (Cheryl) Deiwert ,  James P. Deiwert, step-daughters Betty (Ted) Evans and Michelle R. Taylor, companion Betty Parker, grandchildren; Matthew Deiwert, William Colwell, Richard Biles,  many great-grandchildren and brother Perry Deiwert. The Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday March 28, 2018 at 3PM at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Homes' Ravenna Chapel. Pastor Derek Hickman will officiate.
