James B. "Pete" Boyers 81 of Streetsboro, passed away Wednesday January 11, 2012 at the Gardens of the Western Reserve in Streetsboro. He was born November 17, 1930 in Trenton, Tennessee to the late Edwin and Jessie (McClean) Boyers. Pete has lived in Streetsboro since 1976, retired in 1995 from Heinen's Warehouse in Warrensville where he worked in the produce department, was a veteran of the US Army and enjoyed tinkering and restoring old cars. He is survived by his daughters Sue (Ron) Workman of Streetsboro, Lynn (Rick) Kruis of Hiram, Jamie Reardon of Streetsboro, his grandchildren James (Sarah) Kruis, Amanda (Scott) Grillo, Jason Reardon, Cristin Reardon (Ryan), Melinda Workman, Katie (Mike) Casto, nine great grandchildren, his brother Robert )Helen) Boyers of Cleveland, his sisters Georgia Lee and Mary McMackin both of Tennessee. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Frances in February 1995. Calling hours will be 6-8 PM Friday January 13, 2012 at Shorts-Spicer-Crislip Funeral Homes Streetsboro and on Wednesday January 18, 2012 from 1:00 PM until time of funeral services at 2:00 PM at the Shelton-Hunt Funeral Home in Humboldt, Tennessee. Burial will follow the services in Rose Hill Cemetery in Humboldt. The family would especially like to the thank the staff of both Crossroads Hospice and the Gardens of the Western Reserve for their wonderful care of their father.
