James H. Freechack, Jr.

James H. Freechack, Jr., 79, of Aurora, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at Wade Park VA Medical Center in Cleveland.

He was born on September 29, 1946, in Uniontown, Pennsylvania, to James H. Freechack, Sr. and Marianne (Trimbath) Freechack. James proudly served in the United States Navy and worked as a skilled carpenter, specializing in cabinet making.

He is survived by his daughters, Amanda (David) Klunk and Brandy Thomas; his beloved grandchildren, Penelope and Lachlan; and his sister, Jane Petro.

James was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters, Janis Stepnicka and Barbara Riley.

Calling hours will be held from 11:00 AM until the time of the funeral service at 12:30 PM on Monday, May 4, 2026 at New Life Church, 911 Orchard Avenue, Aurora, Ohio. Burial will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery in Twinsburg.
