James Howard Fritinger

James Howard Fritinger 87 of Mantua passed away Thursday, October 17, 2024, at his residence surrounded by his wife and daughters. He was born June 27, 1937 in New Milford, Ohio to the late Howard W. and Dorothy M. (Booth) Fritinger. James was a self-employed truck driver, a member of Dustman's Deputies and the Mantua Ruritan Club. Jim loved spending time outdoors mowing lawn and cutting trees with his grandson. He and Nancy enjoyed many trips to Virginia to visit family and a casino or two along the way. Jim was always quick with a joke or a story, followed by his memorable laugh. He will be missed greatly. Survivors include his wife of 63 years Nancy Jo (Waltz), daughters Dorothy Jo (Julius) Callahan and Sandra Jo (Ren Camacho) Gertz, grandchildren Kaitlyn Virginia Hendrix and Nicholas James Gertz and great grandchildren Owen Lane Hendrix and Virginia Jo Hendrix. Following his wishes there will be no calling hours. The family is planning a celebration of life in November.
