James Edward Michniak

James Edward Michniak 83 of Streetsboro passed away Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at Akron City Hospital. He was born May 19, 1937 in Bobtown, PA to James Stephen and Rose A. (Jezewski) Michniak. James was a US Army veteran, a member of St. Joan of Arc Church in Streetsboro and a 4th Degree Knight of Columbus. He worked as a truck driver for Local 436. Survivors include his sons James J. Michniak and Stephen Michniak, 5 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and siblings Chuck, Andrew, Frank and Bill Michniak and Patty Johnson. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Nancy in 2008 and siblings Joseph and Anthony Michniak and Maryann Mason. Calling hours will be from 7 - 9 PM Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Streetsboro Chapel. A mass of christian burial will be held at 11:45 AM Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at St. Joan of Arc Church with Father Chris Luoni officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Park in Ravenna.
