James P. Martin

James P. Martin 87 of Akron passed away Friday, August 9, 2024 at Akron City Hospital. He was born June 22, 1937 in Black Walnut, VA to Stafford and Thelma (Layne) Martin. James was a self-employed carpenter. Survivors include his wife Carole (Miller), children Stafford Martin, Timothy Martin, Debbie Martin and Dave Beal, 17 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and a brother Frank Martin. He was preceded in death by his parents and children James Martin, Gary Martin and Laurie Beal. A graveside service will be held at 2 PM Wednesday, August 14, 2024 at Hillside Cemetery in Akron.
