James F Snider

James F. Snider, 69, of Ravenna, passed away on Sunday, December 30, 2012, in his home. He was born on July 19, 1943 in Grantsville, West Virginia to the late, James L., and Geneva (Heiney) Snider. He lived in Brady Lake for over 30 years and was a veteran of the US Army serving during the Vietnam War. James earned the code of conduct, NDSM, GCMDL, and Soldier of the month. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge #768. James retired from Goodyear Tire & Rubber after 30 years of service, he loved buying and selling antiques and collectables. James is survived by his children, Steven (Stephanie) Snider of Tennessee, Julia F. Parks of Florida, and Tom (Callie) Snider of Texas; seven grandchildren; sisters, Sandra Ferrebee of West Virginia, Wanda (Bob) Crawford of North Carolina, and Doris Davis of West Virginia; and many loving nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his sister, JoAnn Snider and brothers, Ray and Andrew Snider. Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 2-4 PM with a Masonic service starting at 3:30 PM at the Shorts-Spicer-Crislip Funeral Home, Ravenna Chapel, where a funeral service will be held on Monday at 1PM. Internment will follow in Grandview Memorial Park.
