James D. "Stymie" Richards

James D. "Stymie" Richards, 64 of Garrettsville passed away Thursday February 18, 2021 at UH Portage Medical Center in Ravenna.  He was born December 27, 1956 in Cleveland, Ohio to James Richards and Nancy (Runk) Booterbaugh.  Stymie has lived in Garrettsville the past 2 years and was formerly of Aurora.  He had worked as a maintenance man for the City of Hudson and was a talented musician who loved playing the guitar.  In addition to his father he was preceded in death by his siblings Melvin Dale Richards, Robert D Richards,  Terry Molicca  .  Survivors include his mother Nancy  Booterbaugh, steps sons Cody Markusic, Tim Markusic,  his brother Mike Richards, and many nieces and nephews.  In honoring his request, cremation has taken place and there  will be no calling hours.  A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.  Memories of Stymie may be shared at www.sscfuneralhomes.com.
